"Your kingdom come, Your will be done!"
The very fist thing that Y'hoshua was telling us to pray about when we approach God is to pray that His kingdom will come and His will will be done. Do you know what we are asking when we ask that? We're saying that we want Y'hoshua's kingdom to come right now. Forget all our well-made plans. Let the world end, and let Your kingdom begin. We have to mean it from our hearts when we pray it, otherwise we are just giving God lipservice.
"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. ... He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Y'hoshua." (Revelation 22:17, 20)
The next thing we are asking is what Y'hoshua was asking in the garden of Gethsemane:
"Nevertheless, not what I will, but what thou wilt." (Mark 14:36)
We may want a whole lot of things, but when we talk with God in prayer, we say, "Nevertheless, Your will be done." In every thing, in every matter, let God's will be done in Christ Y'hoshua!
Before you ask God for anything in prayer, do as Y'hoshua taught -- first pray for His kingdom to come and His will to be done. This is the Lord's will.
