How long will ye be slack?

"And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them. And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance. And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?" (Joshua 18:1-3)
"Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession." (Psalm 2:8)
The Israelites had become a little too comfortable in their cozy congregation. But, it was never God's plan for them to stay within the camp. God had given the Israelites the inheritance of the land. They were to go out and possess and conquer their God-given heritage.
"Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed." (Joshua 13:1)
The Church of Jesus Christ has been around for a long time (in humanity's eyes), about 2000 years. But, there still remains A LOT of people that still need to be saved. But, we all get a little too comfortable sitting on our warm cozy pew, in our air-condition and heated church buildings, in our routine services. And we forget that we were given an inheritance. You want to save souls? You want to see the heathen saved? Do you want to be a part of the excitement of winning souls? You've got it! All you have to do is ask Him:
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. (Psalm 2:8)
But, you're not going to get it sitting on a pew, singing a few songs and tossing an offering into a plate. No! We've got to go out into all the world and conquer and possess in the name of Jesus Christ!
Now, the Israelites of the Old Testament fought in the flesh. Today, by the New Testament through Jesus Christ, we fight in the Spirit of our Lord. We fight with love, and the Word and the Spirit! We fight with prayer and with fasting. I pray God fills the Body of Christ with all the Spirit and all the Truth in Christ Jesus! And that we are brave and valiant to see His will accomplished! I pray this for all the Body of Christ. Lord Jesus, let us be zealous to accomplish your will. Let us go forth in Your name and possess the land and see souls saved! All to the glory of God in Christ Jesus! Amen! So be it!
Sitting on a pew and attending a church service is not the assignment of God for Christians. How long will you be slack?
"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." (Joshua 1:9)
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28:19, 20)
"Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)
"And that repentance and remission of sins should be pre ached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." (Luke 24:47-49)
Has not He commanded us? How long will you be slack?
