This is a list of just some of the activities that you will read about the first Church actually doing according to Gods Word, the Bible. We can only ask ourselves if the Church is no longer practicing these activities -- why isnt she?
1. There was one doctrine that began on the first day of the Church, and they continued steadfastly in it. Acts 2:42
2. They continued in fellowship, breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:42
3. They went out into the field (the world), and:
-- healed the lame Acts 3:7; 14:8-10
-- preached repentance Acts 3:19
-- preached Jesus name Acts 4:12
-- prayed for boldness Acts 4:30
-- prayed for power Acts 4:31
-- rebuked errant saints Acts 5:1-11

-- ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Acts 5:42
-- were murdered for preaching the Truth Acts 7

-- made sure believers received the
Holy Ghost baptism Acts 8:15-17; 19:1-8
-- heard the Spirit tell them what to do Acts 8:29
-- disappeared Acts 8:39-40
-- were miraculously converted Acts 9:1-20
-- saw angels Acts 10: 3
-- saw visions Acts 10: 10-18; 16:9-10; 18:9-10

-- went to believers of false doctrine and

-- taught more truth to believers that didnt know all

-- rebaptized believers who hadnt been
baptized correctly Acts 19:1-8
-- brought the dead back to life Acts 9:36-42; 20:9-12
-- kneeled down and prayed Acts 7:60; 9:40; 20:36; 21:5
-- preached to government rulers Acts 25, 26
-- were immune to poisonous snakes Acts 28:3-6
By the end of the Book of Acts, it is recorded that Paul received all that came into his home, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 28:30-31
One thing is for certain, being a part of the Church was not boring. These people had one single focus, and that was to preach Jesus Christ and live for Jesus Christ -- and whether that meant death, imprisonment, or persecution -- there was no stopping them.
